The division offers marine cargo surveys (sea and airfreight) and are marine claim settling agents. It represents W. K. Webster & Co Ltd (since 1947), the global network offering total marine claims management to insurers worldwide. In addition, Finlays represents numerous other international and Sri Lankan insurers as well in respect of such services and provides reports to insurers off shore in respect of clients / losses in Sri Lanka and the Republic of the Maldives.

In addition, the division also carries out investigative reports on behalf of overseas insurers whose clients suffer losses in Sri Lanka or the Maldives.
