Finlays has been a pioneer in value added exports from Sri Lanka and continues to be among the leaders in this field even today. The Tea Division has been marketing Black Tea in bulk, in packets, in teabags and as flavoured tea for many decades with a total emphasis on supplying its customers with a Pure Ceylon Tea. A state-of-the-art packing plant caters to a worldwide clientele. With consumer needs growing for Green Tea, supplying the market with a Pure Ceylon Green Tea was inevitable, which challenge was taken up by the division when it set up its Green Tea manufacturing facility in 1993.

The Division strives to establish and nurture brands of Tea as a means to build long-term relationships between discerning consumers of Tea around the world and ourselves as specialized  Tea Blenders and Packers.

Backed by the Finlays Group’s worldwide involvement and expertise in Tea growing and packing, the operation in Sri Lanka is supported by extensive Research & Development with a dedicated, state-of-the-art Microbiological and Analytical Laboratory and Tea Tasting facility.
